The Kempenaar-Sundin families’ established the KK-S Scholarship selection criteria based on Kathy’s dedication to her students as an educator and counselor. It is their desire to award annual scholarships to deserving seniors who intend to pursue a major that supports the field of education. The criteria are general enough to accommodate all education levels and numerous subject areas for education. The levels could range from early childhood development to adult education. The subjects to pursue in education are even broader and can range from the arts to hard sciences, math, computers, to history. Other subjects to consider are those education topics associated with counseling and school administration.
